  • VFB will not close after rendering

Anyone else having an issue where the VFB will not close after rendering?
    Windows 10 - SketchUp - 20.2.172 - VRay 4.20.03

    Hello, Matthew,

Does the VFB remain active after closing SketchUp or do you mean you cannot close the VFB window while SketchUp is running?
Is the VFB window stuck or does it retain functionality?

Can you please forward a step-by-step description of the problem you've encountered to support@chaosgroup.com ?

    Kind regards,
    Peter

It was happening yesterday. The VFB would be finished with a render and then when I click the X to close the window, it wouldn’t close.

Let me see if I encounter it again and I will do a better job of testing and documenting the issue.

It happened to me again, see video below for the behavior. I have not nailed down the cause though.

I experience something similar, not exactly the same but similar. Using OSX, 10.12.6 ( Sierra), Nvidia K5000 for Mac, Sketchup 2019, vray_42003_sketchup.

I push the Red Button to close VFB.
VFB closes but when u click between Vray asset editor and Sketchup window the VFB re appears without being opened.
          Behavior repeats.

          hope this helps

            Dear all,

Thank you for pointing this out!

ValeroStudio, thank you for the video.

In order to investigate further, please, define:
            1. How often is it happening?
            2. Have you noticed a pattern? (for example sequential actions or certain scenes)
            3. Your current GPU drivers. Were there any updates before this behaviour started?
            4. Does pre-installation of V-Ray solve the issue?
            5. Have you tried turning off any other third party plugins you’re using?
            6. Please, try also turning off the antivirus/ antispam/ antimalware softwares you’re using.
            7. How many GPUs are you using? If there are more than one, could you, please, turn one of them off to test the behaviour again?

Your answers will be very much appreciated and will help us to go in the right direction.

            Thanks in advance!
