Recently I installed the new vray 5 and rendered an image that I had already rendered on my previous vray version (with which turned out perfectly), just to test vray 5 I rendered the same image without changing any of the settings and it came out with glitter like effect, tried on other files, same issue. I am going to attach the first two renders with the older and newer version. I didn't see any issues like this around the forum, sorry if someone already posted about it.

Hi borislava_kirova
From the screenshots, it seems to be caustics but I might be wrong.
To see what is producing this effect, the following render elements (LINK) could be loaded and inspected - Lighting, Global Illumination, Reflection, Specular, Caustics

Hi borislava_kirova,
This is most certainly caused by Photon Mapped Caustics (and the fact that they are enabled in the scene).
Just turn off the toggle from the following screenshot to disable them.
Also, is it possible for you to share the original project, the one saved in V-Ray Next (or any other file that causes the same issue)?
There might be something else going on - a faulty migration logic for example.
I'd like to test it out a little more.
Thank you in advance,
Konstantin
