  • V-Ray Swarm UI - Render Node Showing 169.254.xxx.xxx IP Address

    Hello,

I have a computer that will not render and is showing a 169.254.xxx.xxx IP address in the V-Ray Swarm UI but everywhere else (Command Prompt->ipconfig, Network and Sharing Center->Local Area Connection Status, etc.) all show a valid 192.168.xxx.xxx IP address. I have Internet access and I am able to remote access the computer from another device. This has happened once before and I was able to get it back to working order after I found that the Windows Firewall was not allowing all of the V-Ray services through. I have since fixed that and checked it again and again but that is not the fix this time. This computer has worked as a render node before. Timeline of events:: the original occurrence, I fixed the problem by letting V-Ray through the Windows Firewall, lasted maybe a week or two, and now it is back displaying an incorrect IP address and will not render. I am back not knowing how to solve this. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. If you need any more information, please do not hesitate to ask. I will gladly provide more information if needed.

    Thank you.

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    Intel Core i7-2600
    8GB RAM
    V-Ray Swarm 1.4.4
