  • Seriously thinking about giving up with Vray now, yet another weird issue!

So last night I knocked up a quick model to play with some cosmos assets and ran off an RTX render.
    Background is OFF
    Sun is OFF
Only lights are an HDRI / Plane Light and 3 spot lights.
Referring to the 2 attached images, BEFORE is what it rendered like when I left the program.
AFTER shows what the image model now renders like. I even turned of every single light source and it still renders like the AFTER one.

This is a prime example of the weird behaviour I get with Vray since the latest update and it is a serious concern to me. I may be far from expert at rendering but even I know that it no light equals no image. Whatever light I add / remove or change the values of, the result is the same, this horrible blown out image.

What if this happens to a paid project!?

Once again, only fix was to open a totally new, blank SU file and import the problem drawing back into the new one. Then redo all the Camera / Render settings. Nothing I did in the original made any difference.

      Hi jason_cafferty,

Unfortunately I am not able to reproduce the issue you've described.
Is it possible for you to share your test scene?
It will help a great deal in determining the cause for the incorrect light level.

To do so, you can use a file sharing platform of your choice.
Just send me a personal message with the link in case you don't want to share the scene publicly.

      Thank you in advance,
      Konstantin
