  • Rendering an animation crops the viewport

    Hello,

I am trying to render an animation transitioning from one scene to another. I have set it all up and the sequence renders, however the view is cropped right in on the viewport I have set. If I turn off animation and render a single image then the view returns to the correct one, but then crops in again when I turn back on the animation function. I can't work out why it is cropping in like this, can anyone help?

    Thanks so much

    Hi guy_colledge

Can you check if Region render is disabled from the VFB as well as from Extensions > V-Ray > V-Ray Rendering > Viewport Render Region? Also, does this keep happening if you revert the render settings to their defaults?

Is it possible to forward us the project in question so we can see if we can reproduce this in our environment? You can send it via our contact form, just make sure to mention this thread or my name in the email. Please also share details about the exact V-Ray/SketchUp versions (Extensions > V-Ray > Help > About). Thanks!

      Hi guy_colledge,

There is another thing that might be causing the issue - 2 point perspective camera projection used in one or more scenes.
2pp is currently not supported in animations.
It might be possible to add support in case all the scenes use it.
Transitioning from 2pp to a regular perspective view does not sound possible at first glance.

Let me know if that is causing your issue and I'll keep you posted on any progress we make in that regard.
