  • Compiling geometry.....

I'm having a lot of "compiling geometry", and reloading bitmaps going on. Every time I change the view - I get a message "compiling geometry", and "loading bitmaps". I have not noticed it being so often / disturbing before, but I may just got my focus on it right now.

Is it normal, or is there a way to reduce this issue?

    Hi,
I don't have exactly this problem, but I find that the "compiling Optix kernels" phase is extremely long since the update.
    Even for simple scenes.
    It's quite embarrassing.

The "compiling geometry" message is to some extent normal.
It is caused by V-Ray's messaging system and does not reflect what is actually going on.
We will look into ways to avoid it.

The "Compiling OptiX kernals" stage has gotten longer lately but it's only done once the first time you initiate a render and will not repeat until the next V-Ray update.
It does not depend on the scene complexity since it's only establishing compatibility between V-Ray GPU and your current GPU drivers.
