Cannot get SWARM to work

im using vray 51003 in sketchup 21.0.391 64 bit. I installed swarm on the second computer. However, when i turn on swarm on the main computer & start to render, nothing happens on the spare computer. Nothing happens in the Log or in any other part of the interface. I have a spare node license. Dont really know where to begin with troubleshooting Swarm. Am i meant to manually activate swarm aside from hitting that swarm button in the sketchup vray interface ? When should we use port 24267 vs 20208 ? My main computer has had every known port opened up, but i cant really say for sure about the laptop as i'm not in control of the firewall.

still no effective response from Tech Support team. We were supposed to have a teamviewer session this morning but nobody contacted me

this is the second appointment for remote support that i've arranged with Borislav S and again, no-one is showing up or even sending me the team-viewer link or giving me any idea of whats going on. What kind of support is this ? When we make an appointment, you need to stick to it or let me know "before" the appointment if you cannot make it.

Hi! Can you check your "C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\V-Ray\Swarm 1.4\work\vray-swarm\vray-swarm.log" logs at the Swarm computer after trying to do a render job?
I believe you may have the same issue as me, I described it at V-Ray 5 update 1.3 checksum mismatch with V-Ray Swarm 1.4.6 - Chaos Forums (chaosgroup.com)

Do you get anything else after trying to do a render job?
Because if you only see that, it's not receiving the jobs at all.

no - didnt get any messages or anything. The master computer renders without any problems and i can "see" and ping the render node over the network - but it just wont render, despite having added exceptions to the firewalls and also having turned them off completely

I just tried with the same version as yours, V-Ray 5 update 1.2 (51003), and I get the same issue, it won't connect to the render node at all.
And well... The latest version, as I stated above, it does connect but I get the checksum mismatch error

ok i didnt realise there was a new version - i thought there would be an auto notification. never mind, i will give it a try & see what happens !
Tried it - made no difference
