  • So much noise !! ??

    Hi there,

I've just rendered (in progressive mode ; high quality) an interior scene with the latest version of V-Ray for Sketchup, but the result was not what I expected: the noise didn't disappear (see picture).

    - rendersettings : see picture
    - 2 lightsources : sun and rectangle light
    - environment : hdri-picture

I've tried different combinations of rendersettings : varying engine (CPU/Cuda/RTX), Quality, Denoiser (Vray, AI, Intel)... but the noise does not disappear.

Any help would be very appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

    Christophe.

    Hi christophe913,

This seems a bit odd, where is your rectangle light placed/what are the intensities used? Can you see if reverting the render settings to their defaults changes anything?

You could try playing a bit more with the Noise Limit settings from the Render Parameters > Quality > Noise Limit rollout. See what happens when you decrease it down to 0.001 for example; moreover, you can also increase the Max Subdivs value. From the V-Ray Denoiser menu, you can choose another Preset (i.e., Strong or customize it to your desire). For further read on Render Settings, please check our article here: https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...s.+Render+Time

If nothing seems to help, could you please forward us the project in question so we can investigate further? You can do so via our contact form. Make sure to use the Pack Project tool from Extensions > V-Ray > Pack Project and also mention this thread (or my name) in the email. Much appreciated!
