  • v-ray 5 : Black Screen with Vision

    Hi,

    Latest bits downloaded and installed. Windows 10. 2080Ti. Whenever I click on the vision icon, dots never connect, black screen with an active FPS counter.
    Probably me being a dummy....but any ideas?

    p.s. What would be really helpful is for you guys to make some of the files you use in the video tutorials available for download as test scenes - so we can rule out scene errors at our end.

    Hey skavan,

    Does it happen with every project (even an empty one), or is it project specific? If it is project-specific, please forward it along with the vrayvision.log file located in C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Chaos Group\V-Ray for SketchUp\vision
    You can send it via our contact form, just make sure to mention this thread (or my name) in the email;

    Moreover, was there a point before updating where it worked as expected? Are you using any other 3rd party plugins, and what happens if you disable them?

        Hey skavan,

        On a first glimpse, it may be that other processes are using the ports in that specified range so a new live-link Vision process is not able to start. Best would be to check if other programs are using any ports from that range (54560 - 54570), or alternatively, get in touch via our contact form so we can schedule a remote session and troubleshoot on the spot. Much appreciated!
