  • Vray Interactive - Changing scenes freezes

Switching scenes while interactive rendering takes forever to start rendering again. It is quicker for me to stop rendering, switch scenes, then start a new rendering....using either GPU or CPU. And less risky, too. Trying to switch scenes often leads to a crash. (Although, using interactive rendering for me (specially GPU) is very risky in generally, as I get crashes more often than not.) Is this normal? Something up with my system...? I get the same results on my main office and home office PC's. both have high spec hardware built around 8700k cpu's, with dual 2080ti's in main and dual 2080's in home pc. Using latest windows 10 pro, latest SU, and latest Vray updates.

    Hi GD3DESIGN,

Switching between scenes in Interactive should not cause crashes and should generally work fine (some heavy scenes might need some time to load/refresh). That being said, would it be possible to send us a sample project with the issue reproducible so we can have a look on our end? You can forward it through our contact form, just make sure to mention this thread (or my name) in the form message. Much appreciated!
