  • UVW Randomization Rotation Problem

    Hi,

I have a problem with the rotation setting in the UVW Placement/Randomization tab.
It says in the documentation "UV Rotation - Controls the UV rotation variance range in degrees."
Except that in my case when I move the cursor over the parameter it says "Min:-1000000 Max:1000000"
    I can't get a texture to rotate 360° with a 90° step.
Can someone explain me how to do that ?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
Sorry to be impatient, but would it be possible to answer my question?

      Hello,

Enter 4 as a step. This actually will divide the 360 (full circle / default value ) into 4 steps meaning 90 degrees.
Please try that and let me know if it worked.

        Hi,
it works with 4 as value.

Wouldn't it have been simpler to set the limits of the rotation from 0 to 360 and to set the steps in degrees?
        I can't understand your logic.

        Thanks anyway.

          Hi DCHA34,

The current workflow was selected to avoid the need for calculating the step angle yourself.

            I don't quite understand.

It is in your current workflow that you have to make a calculation (360/90=4)

When it would be simpler to say that I want a rotation from 0 to 360 degrees with a step of 90

Example: If I want to make a random rotation by steps of 15°, with your current workflow I must calculate (360/15=24).
With my logic, I enter 15 in the "step" dialog box.

            That' s it.
