  • Vray lights not showing correctly

    Dear all

While working on some scenes I have often the issue that some lights and in this case the spotlights don't show or don't show correctly.
I have lowered them so they are not inside the lamps itself and I have stretched them to see if that was the problem or not but nothing works well.
Changing the intensity doesn't work aswell. 50/500/5000/50000 it all stays the same (or light comes up in different places in the scene).

The surface of the kitchentop is stainless steel, so there is reflection but currently i get weird reflections.

I just want to have these 2 lightsources to give light and a realistic diffuse reflection on the worktop.

Sometimes, during a project or when visiting older ones the intensities have to go from f.e. 100 to 10000 to equal or the other way arround.
Because of this it's really hard to get trained in setting up ligths. I find it just strange, but let me know if this is something that's my fault.

Realy struggling with this for multiple projects.

    Thank you in advance.
    Arne.

    Hello, Arne,
    Thank you for reporting this!
Firstly, can you please confirm whether the issue is reproducible with the latest V-Ray for SketchUp version 5.20.01 which was released yesterday?
In case you have not downloaded it yet, visit https://download.chaosgroup.com/?platform=56&product=47 .

If the problem persists, please submit for investigation one of your projects which exhibits this problem via our help center at https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/requests/new .
You can make a copy of your scene and share only the part of it with the problematic illumination.
Once the issue is identified, we will be able to provide you with a solution.

    Kind regards,
    Peter
