Materials sliders doesn't make any changes

Hello,

Sometimes I try to edit the material color using materials' sliders but that doesn't make any changes on the material!

Just uncheck the texture slot. This slider is for color only. Or wrap texture slot in color correction.

Photohomka , thank you for the answer, I think I got it, it seems when texture slot is active the material slider doesn't make any changes until the check mark beside texture slot is disabled. Maybe if the sliders is locked and greyed out, I wasn't going to ask this question.


And for the color correction and the other Texture Maps, is it possible to display the edited V-ray Textures Slots in SketchUp viewport, since it very confusing that V-ray material result and SketchUp preview is different. Is there an option to send the "Texture Slots" preview to the Custom Texture mode in the Binding tab in a quick way?

Hi rami_atef,

The color of a parameter can still be used even when there is a texture if you do the following:

1. Navigate to the Multipliers rollout
2. Change the Mode to Blend Amount
3. Decrease the multiplier value for the slot with the texture (Color for example)
4. The texture and the color will be blended based on the multiplier value...

This is currently not possible.
We are currently looking into way to make it happen.

Thank you for the detailed reply. I have naviagted to the Material options but I didn't find the Multipliers rollout! Am I missing something?
