  • Continual Crashes - even renders of medium complexity - is this to be expected

So over the last year this has started to get worse - we have scenes of medium complexity usually only small rooms and with file sizes of about 180mb max. Everything that can be is proxy. yet even a render of of 1200 px crashes. This is becoming completely unworkable for our studio. Weirdly Vantage can get some images out but they are not of the same quality as GPU. CPU will also render but its just too slow. We feel caught between having to use cloud which is expensive or offload to another system, We have updated drivers and any number of other trials but are getting now where .

Please can someone tell me if with the PC spec below you would expect to be able to render reliably files of 180Mb

    Hello boundary

Do you get any error messages before or after the crash or is it just the Bugsplat window.

This is happening with specific files - Could you please share an example so I can try to reproduce it and test it on my side? If this is ok please use the Pack Project tool to make an archived copy and send it via the 'request' link below.

After a crash occurs, can you please go to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Chaos Group\V-Ray for SketchUp and copy the log files there and send them so I can check those as well? And additionally, it will be also helpful if you send a screenshot if the full V-Ray version(Extensions > V-Ray > Help > About)

    Thank you!
