  • rendering a scene_flat image and not realistic

    Hi all,

I kindly ask you to suggest how to improve the quality of render as i am really confused why it comes out so flat (no walls or surfaces seen a part) as if there are no angles and different surfaces at all.
I also tried to use the following light settings for the image. But also would appreciate your opinion on how to improve it. Thank you very much

You can use ambient occlusion, it will give shadows to corners.. Adding something like shampoo, soap, etc will also help.. If the left side is totally open, you should close it with walls, and add the lights where they supposed to be in real life..

      Hi tanya_kuzmenko,

The main reason for the flat look is mostly the main marble material.
When you have such a high contrast in the material's texture the lighting gets lost and you loose some spatial awareness.
The fact that the floor has the same material also contributes to that.

The accessories as well as the white ceiling help a little bit but the flat look is still there.

I'd recommend you change the marble texture with something more subtle if possible.
You can also increase the contrast in the lighting.
Darker shadows and brighter highlights will certainly help.

I hope that the information here helps,
      Konstantin
