  • Clean start - trying to get a stable vray running

    Hi - I have just
    - uninstalled nvidia drivers using 3dgurus tool
    - installed the recommened driver version 497.09
    - installed a clean version of Sketchup 2022
    - installed vray for sketchup version 52005

Is there anything else I should be aware of?

I'm going to install various plugins - is there some I should avoid, as they are know to give problems?

Should I uninstall older versions of Sketchup?

    Thanks

    Hello, Jorgensen_cg ,

There is no need to uninstall older SketchUp versions.
If you wish to perform a clean V-Ray installation you might want to delete any potential leftovers at %APPDATA%\Chaos Group\V-Ray for SketchUp (if that location still exists after uninstalling V-Ray).
To determine whether you are facing a conflict between V-Ray and another 3rd-party plugin, simply test with V-Ray as the only non-native extension loaded in SketchUp and then do it a second time with other extensions loaded as well.

Is the issue you are trying to resolve is related to https://forums.chaos.com/forum/v-ray...732-cuda-error the best course would be to go through our support system for assistance.

    Kind regards,
    Peter

      Hi Peter

      Thanks for the reply.

Yes - im trying to see if I somehow can get a stable process. Sometimes Sketchup just hangs then using vray, and sometimes I get the cuda errors. I'll reply to the other thread if it stills happens.
