  • Issue bump maps scale

    Hi guys,

I am having an issue with applying bump maps to a material.

I am using a generic material and i want to apply the GRID bump (it could be for a bathroom project for example)

The grind I get is really small, and i am using the standard 0.1 parameter i tried to set to the max 1 but nothing shows. (i am using bump map, not normal or local)

This is happening with every bump map that i try to apply (tiles etc), there is a way to set the scale ?

As usual thanks to everyone that read and reply. Have a good weekend you all !

One way is, in bitmap option play with scale-repeat value, smaller value makes bump map size larger.. Second way is, using any map as diffuse and uncheck the map visibility..

To control the size of the procedural texture, you need to turn on the mapping help, which is displayed as a UV map of one unit. As shown below. Then modify the SU texture size to the correct size.

What wzfwzfwzf has shown is the best solution.
The texture helper will let you specify a material size in SketchUp without being rendered.
