  • Infinite plane still visible in render

    Hi,

I have an issue with the "Infinite plane" in V-Ray 6 and SketchUp 2022. It's still visible in my render even after I turn "Matte" on in the Wrapper settings, it's suppose to disappear when rendering but in my case it doesn't. I've tried many different things and combinations but I can't seem to get it work, check my settings in the pictures. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

    Hi,
    try CPU rendering, not GPU.

    Sketchup PRO 23.0.419 + V-Ray 6.20.02
    3DS Max 2024.2.1 + V-Ray 6.20.06
    Chaos Vantage 2.3.0
GeForce Studio Ready Driver Version 546.01

      Hi,

That worked, thank you! Though I wonder why it only works with CPU and not GPU...strange

        Hello davor_mihajlovic,

I would like to let you know that the issue of newly created Matte materials not working properly on GPU is fixed in the new update, V-Ray 6 for SketchUp, hotfix 1.
For better results please create a new Wrapper material (with the V-Ray 6 for SketchUp, hotfix 1 version) and it should be working fine on GPU when set as a Matte material.
Let me know if you experience any issues.

        Kind regards,
        Iva
