Vray rectangular light creates a marked circle on the walls
Vray rectangular light creates a marked circle on the walls
Good afternoon, I am experiencing this strange phenomenon of projecting a clear light of the rectangular light. I share the general settings, the rectangular light and generic material settings. I hope you can help me!
thank you
Thank you giovanni_roncador for the scene and versions, I would like to say that wzfwzfwzf is correct regarding the cause (thanks for the example!).
The issue can be reproduced if the light source is scaled. Please note that we advise against scaling lights, because it will lead to rendering issues like the one you have encountered.
The best practice is to change the U and V size of the light source in the settings.
So far I was not able to reproduce the problem with the settings you have shared. Would it be possible to share your scene for us to test? If this is alright please archive the scene with the Pack Project tool (Extensions > V-Ray > Pack Project tool) in order to include all textures and assets. If file size is too big to attach it on forum please open a ticket using this submit request form and upload the archived scene in the ticket.
Apart from that please specify your V-Ray version (a screenshot of the Extensions > V-Ray > Help > About V-Ray would be sufficient) so that we could test the same build.
Hello natalia.gruzdova,
i'm working with Sketchup 2021 (21.1.332 64-bits) + Vray ( 5.20.06 Apr 13 2022).
I leave you the scene's pack in the upload (without the puppet, it was too heavy).
The problem still the same.
This effect can be reproduced.Rectangular lamp Length to width to a certain ratio,This phenomenon will occur。This problem cannot occur in newly created scenes。
