  • Urgent - Animation produces frame that are either black or with poor lighting

    HI
I have a large site model that I want to use to renter some move and fly throughs. I have got a seres of still renders from it which have worked well, but when I go to create animations it is giving me lots of issues. First I read that some issues where being generated by sketchup 24 and its animation engine and was advised to use sketchup 23 to create animations.
When I opened the model in sketchup 23 I could get the desired animations in sketchup. However when I try to render the same animation in Vray I have lots of issues. the frames either do not animate properly or are totally black. Please see attached images. Any idea what is causing this.
    Thanks for your help

      Hello reza23,

Sorry for the late reply. I took a look at your scene and I noticed in the "Shadows" panel that you have set a different time and date for each Scene View. For example, in the first Scene view the date is October 6th, in the second Scene view the date is July 21st. So in the Animation rendering the time and date for each frame is the result of interpolation between the time and date set for two Scene views, therefore some frames happen to be "at night" and appear black.

I advise you to set the same Date for every Scene view and also keep the same Time unless you want to animate the Sun (keep in mind that in this case, again, the Sun is interpolated between the settings in two Scene views and you will need to gradually increase the Time for each Scene View).

Let me know if this helps and if you have any more questions!

      Kind regards,
      Iva
