  • VRAY 7 Rendering Error: Embree Failed to allocate RTC_Geometry_Type_Triangle

When I’m trying to render a scene there’s always an error and it fails. I have tried with other files and also with a new project and every time the same error appears, the errors started when vray was updated and in other pcs it worked correctly. I've seen in other forums that the error might occur because of RAM, but in this case the other pc had less ram than the one I'm trying to render.
Error [V-Ray] Embree: Failed to allocate RTC_GEOMETRY_TYPE_TRIANGLE
Error [V-Ray] Building Embree Box Tree failed: [EmbreeBoxTree::build] 2: Creating new scene failed

    Hello alejandro_pea,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Please Reinstall Microsoft Visual Redistributable: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cp...-2019-and-2022
Download and install the X64 https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe version.

Once installed please restart your machine and try using V-Ray in a new scene and let us know if the error is still reproducible.

Hello, have you restarted the PC?

If this does not help please download embree-4.3.3.x64.windows.zip from this website https://github.com/RenderKit/embree/releases/tag/v4.3.3

In the bin folder locate embree_info.exe file. Start Command Prompt (type cmd in Windows Search) and drag&drop embree_info.exe into the command prompt window and click Enter. (Video example)

Note that if the RDRAND line is missing (see here the example) it means that your best option is to upgrade your BIOS. Please share a screenshot of how it looks on your side.

            Hello natalia.gruzdova
            How are you?

I'm having the same issue as Alejandro and I've reached the prompt. I'm not sure how to update the BIOS. Can you help me?
