Light mix render element created but not available in frame buffer

The IT department had to recreate my profile on my work laptop and that meant when i got it back i had to sign in to all my softwares again including sketchup and chaos vray. I lost all my settings in Vray and sketchup, and now i can't seem to get lightmix to appear in the Vray frame buffer. I have added the lightmix render element amongst others but once i've opened the frame buffer and the render has finished the render element layer option is greyed out. I've read other forums but they haven't tackled this exact issue. I particularly want Lightmix as a layer because it's so handy but i can't figure out for the life of me why it won't let me add it in. Please help!

At the moment your Layers menu with Light Mix is closed. Hover your mouse over the upper line, right-click on it and move it down like on the .gif example that I am attaching.
