Material Preview Not Showing in V-Ray Asset Editor

Hello,

For the past few days, I've been experiencing an issue with the material preview in V-Ray's Asset Editor.
The preview does not appear in the right-hand panel of the material menu, which is quite inconvenient.
I'm using the latest version of V-Ray (7.00.03) along with the recommended Nvidia driver (572.16).
I've already uninstalled and reinstalled the V-Ray extension for SketchUp, but the problem persists.
What can I do to fix this issue?

Hello pauline_tarboulier, thank you for posting.

As a first troubleshooting step please reinstall Microsoft Visual Redistributable: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cp...-2019-and-2022
Download and install the X64 https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe version. Once installed please restart your machine and try using V-Ray in a new scene and let us know if the issue is still reproducible.

If this does not help, try another approach:

• Stop SketchUp (in the Task Manager check if all SketchUp and vrayneui processes are closed, if not end them manually);
• Check if there is a file (or several files) called msvcp140.dll in the Temp folder (paste %temp% in the search bar and the folder will open); (Important! Change only the msvcp140.dll files that are located in the Temp folder.)
• Rename or move the file somewhere else (for example rename it to msvcp140_test.dll or right-click>Cut>Copy to Desktop);
• Open SketchUp and open Asset Editor;
• Create Generic material and check if the material preview is working.
