How can I match my sketchUp renders with my V-Ray renders?

This is the problem, I have my scene setup in SketchUp and I export my image as a jpeg (lets say @640x480), then I render my scene with V-Ray at the same resolution, but when I bring them into photoshop the images don't match the V-Ray image seems to be bigger even though I set the resolution the same. Can I get both images to match?

I believe the issue may be because the output aspect ratio and the viewport aspect ratio are not the same. Ideally we should take care of such calculations behind the scenes - but apparently we are not at the moment. But by making sure those two AR are the same you should have better results.

Oh - in the output tab of our options do you have "Override viewport" checked? If not it will just render at the size of the viewport. Sorry - I think I misread your post the first time around.

Yeah I have the overide button checked but the images still don't match. I am trying to do something similar to the image of the church you have on the home page, one half is rendered with V-Ray & the other with SU and then you just mix them together.

Joe,

I was messing around with V-Ray yesterday and by adjusting the zoom from 1 to 8.6 in the camera settings I got the images to match, I don't know if you should have to do this but it seems to work....................

Yeah no problem I will send it onto you now, its a very basic scene I have been using to test the image size with the default settings.

I went to your download section on this website and downloaded a V-Ray render setting called "Very Fast" and imported it into SU, these settings work perfect and my images are now matching up, hope that might help anyone else who might have the same problem............
