  • Some mat.problems

I have problem with glass(i download it from Repository Page - archi.glass)
Pic(attach) has some noise(2 - on curved face...or 1-top of plain face). How resolve this?
P.S.- i got this model from archicad, made some cleaning work... And i use Options\default.visopt + with max depth(in global switches)=5//sketchup 5+vrat4skp 1.00

Make sure you don't have any overlapping geometry. Also change the secondary ray bias to .001

      Re: Some mat.problems

      Hello Damien!
Thanks a'lot for reply! It's hardly to check faces(i'm lazy ) ) so i remodel it.
      secondary ray bias to .001
This feature decrease noise from faces?
And where i really read some info about materials?
For example i have a cube(it stands in the centre) with texture(vrmtl or linked) when i render it - texture seems, moves from centre(covers half-cube)....I think model-edge will be x,y.z=0(for correctly present uv-mapping)

P.S. Sorry for my bad English

        Re: Some mat.problems

It basically slightly shifts where rays are traced from, which can help decrease artifacts from overlapping geometry. It won't really cause any noticable affects on anything except overlapping geometry.

I will suggest looking at the VFSU manual that is available for download. Its a great resource and has answers to allot of questions.
