  • where is the sun?

    Hi guys¡¡¡
I normally work with formz and sketchup, but now I'm beginning to experiment with vray. And I'm surprised with the quality renders of vray.
When I modeler an object from sketchup, apply the textures, fit the vray settings following the users tutorials of this forum, and place a vray rectagle light with yours setting,... and render my scene, The sun and shadows disappears and all scene is lighted with a uniform bluish light.
    What I'm doing wrong?

My test is a exterior scene when appears 3 walls in form of U, with concrete texture. On of them, Have a rectangle hole and behind is the sun (45 degrees). I use the settings of the basic exterior scene settings tutorial of asgvis web.

    thanks for your time¡¡

    Re: where is the sun?

In order for the sun to appear in SU, the Default Lights option in Global settings has to be enabled. Chances are that some of the things you read instructed that that feature be disabled (since in Rhino its not very useful). Just enable it and you should be good.
