I am playing around with Vray4Su and must say I like it a lot. I also tried Maxwell4SU but don't think it is as convenient as Vray.
Here are some things I had trouble with while I am trying Vray in SU5:
If I enable "repeat background picture" in the Environment > Background setting it just turns black. Even I set the multiplier to the highest available number.
If I want the sunlight from SU to work I have to re choose "Sky" from the Environment > Skylight setting. If not there is no effect, even I turn on the default lights.
This problem also occur in the material editor. If I import a material it never finds the necessary maps. Also if I choose the maps manually it shows no effect. I have to re choose "bitmap" and then set the map-path again to make it work.
Another thing is that sometimes I make some adjustments in the material editor it just jumps to the "Scene Material" selection without applying the new settings. So then I have to choose the material again and make the settings again.
I think it would be nice if the windows for adjusting the settings would have a title. They all look the same and sometimes I just don't know which settings I am in due to I have to make a break or maybe I am already old and sometimes forget what i am doing at the moment![smile](https://forums.chaos.com/core/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Thx.
