installation error --!!!

Everybody Hi,
I have a problem in installation, when I choose Destination Location -(C:\Program Files\Google\Google Sketchup 6), I find this error : c:\Program Files\Google\Google Sketchup 6 is not a valid directory.
Don't support this program Google Sketchup 6 ?

I've searched all over the internet for solutions to this problem, no such luck. Can someone please answer? I've tried a lot of things, like installing it in different folders, etc, and nothing works. Since it's a plugin (i think), it should install in the folder "plugins" somewhere, and i've tried everything.

I asked Joe, and he said that our plugin needs to be installed in the same folder as the the Sketchup.exe file. In most situations it will be the default folder path that comes up, but if your specified a different folder during the installation of SU (Which may be the case for some corporate clients) then you will have to find that folder and specify that for the vray install.

cjbolanos! I think I find answer of this problem: I have Sketchup v.5 on my PC also, so Sketchup-6 used Sketchup-5 files jointly!! I choosed Sketchup-5 folder for Destination Location & I got good result, at present V-ray is working in my Sketchup-6. ;D

One minor thing is that it only works in Sketchup 5.. I'm just trying out the 1 month trial right now, and then i'll see if i go for it.

Glad to see that it was able to get you guys going. cjbolanos, check which version you actually downloaded (5 or 6) and make sure that you've got the right one for the version you want to use. I can't imagine that the 6 version would work in 5 or vice versa.

Hi everybody... well, my SketchUp is the Pro v6.0.515 and i´m having this instalation problem, i can´t install this 30 Day software on my pc; what can i do?? I don´t have the SketchUp 5 instaled here... so, tell me what to do, i need this software to work, and i wanna try it... so, help me please ok... bye

It is telling you that your installation directory is invalid? Our installer needs to be pointed at your root sketchup folder ( the folder that Sketchup.exe is in ). So verify that you are pointing the installer to the correct place. If that doesn't help then please give me information about your operating system as well as any specific error message you may receiving.

Well, I tried this and it works.

1º Create the folders where the sketchup will be instaled.
2º Create a .txt file and rename it to sketchup.exe inside. (Don't forget to configure the extension file to show the extension to rename it)
3º Now install the vray sketchup in the same folder you created the sketchup.exe.

Work for me.
