Yes...the work around is to simply save your options (in the render options window, at the top is File, and in there should be save and load options) and reload them. That will resolve the sun position issue. I believe Joe has this fixed in our internal builds.

Then try it with the Defaults and that should take care of it.

            Re: sun n shadow

Try this: go to the environment settings in vray > skylight > choose the map > for the type select sky again and press update. this is how it works for me.
I have an additional question: after pressing update there appears something like a color map. is there a special meaning in this? can this be adjusted or influenced?

            regards

              Re: sun n shadow

It is just a representation of the texture applied to a plane. When you do that with the sky texture, however, it will be very bright so the preview is a bit useless unless you put a very small multiplier on it to bring the brightness down.
              Best regards,

                yes, Joe B...

first time, i can't see the shadows of objz, so i did reduce shutter speed n ISO.
after that, shadows can be seen, then i changed time n date.

                and so on.

But many advise make me happy, i'm enjoying VfSU sooooooo much.

                thanks a lot...
