Disappearing SU Groups

I have noticed that occasionally a random SU group or component will not render in vray...it just disappears. It was driving me crazy until I closed sketchup and reopened the file...then it renders just fine. It's not a real problem once you've figured out to close and reopen, but something to take a look at.

I wasn't aware of that trick...I thought it was group's hierarchy issue..

same thing happen to me.

so, 1. explode group or component
2. regroup again

then you can see the disappeared obj. again in your rendered scene.

So far I have been resolved that problem (at least for me) I found that it was a problem with layers: if there is just one object inside group from a hide layer, this group never render. I have a plugging PutOnLayer.rb ( http://www.crai.archi.fr/RubyLibrary.../PutOnLayer.rb ) I just changed the layer of gruop (and subentities with this plugin) and it works.
try this.

I forgot something. I have also had fewer problems with the displacement working in the same way: inside the group all objects must have the same material, if one of these objects has a different material (although it has it's own displacement) displacement is absent. It's also a good idea that this group should not be within another group.
