Tutorial V-Ray for SketchUp problem

Yes, I am novice in this matter.
I've tried this tutoial step by step but on page 11 there are some basic redener options.
1.I've tried to set it exactly as is. I can see some difference but on page 12 I was asking to change color under "GI(Skylight)" option. Here is my problem. Any change in this point does not affect my redender. Color is always light blue. ??

2.Second thing that sunlight is always shinnig untl I check "Show GI Only" what is diffrent to settings shawn on page 11. ??

In order to make shure I've installed SU+VRay on my laptop and I still cannot pass through that stage.

What I am doing wrong?

The book starts with some different options then our current defaults, so in order to best follow the book starting from the old settings would be better. I've included the best settings to start from, so load those up, and the steps in the book should now make a bit more sense.
