  • rendering problem

Im new for Vray 4 SU, the rendering problem occurred when Im testing, the render frame buffer was total dark with sometimes a few light spots appeared and the render process tips showed a break when building light cache, as it turns this only happened in the testing file, so I tried to modify some configurations but i didn't work, is this a bug or sth?

    Re: rendering problem

This isn't a bug...in fact, this is one of the processes that V-Ray uses to go through a render. At this point V-ray is doing a prepass to calculate the Light Cache information. The "break" that you see in the progress window is due to that calculation being broken up into different pieces so that multiple processors can be used.

thx for reply, but actually the whole rendering process stopped at this point, I waited for quite a long time but there is no improvement, I am just puzzled why it took like forever for this file to render, I cant figure out which factor due to this problem.

Try turning down the Subdivisions to 300. The default is 1000, so lowering it should allow it to proceed quicker.
