if the texture has been applied and you can see it then right click on the surface and click edit texture (or something like this) then grab the green handle and drag!
if a material in Vray change the mapping amounts......BUT the better way is a sketch up texture then link to Vray more versitile..... I would recommend this if possible... plenty of posts....Dalomar and Dcauldwell are pretty on the ball when it comes to these, search those posts out
I dont understand why I cant edit the material properties of su materials in the material editor of the service release.Am I missing something?I meant I dont understand how to adjust or link the materials to v-ray.....really annoying
1 - in vray, fiddle with u and v, try values like 0.01 to see a result (hit and miss), also check that the path for the texture files is valid.
2 - start by creating a sketchup material using the texture files and apply in sketchup - you should now be able to see the material on the model. next create a linked vray material to this texture and then you will be able to add the bump map. This method allows you to see the material in sketchup and position and size it as you wish, then vray takes this info when rendering it.
The sketchup material, when viewed in the vray material editor, has a red blob next to it, showing that it cannot be edited directly in vray. Size and orientaion of sketchup materials are edited in sketchup. Bump and reflection etc are added in vray.
Hi,im having problems in editing the material properties of su materials in the service release.I thought creating sketchup materials would automatically link them to the material editor in the same way the vray materials I import appear in the paint bucket menu of sketchup.are there new tutorials?
