    Re: New Release- new bugs

Another issue I'm having is that when I install the new release it affects the copy multiply function in SketchUp. Basically, you can't copy multiple at all. Not really sure why the installation would have any impact on SU functions but it does.

Sadly the new SR is pretty close to my definition of virus- I had to uninstall it

        Re: New Release- new bugs

Why are we using the new SR if simple functions like "multiple copy" dont work.. or it renders faceted edges on a cylinder... ASGVIS is slowly digging itself into a hole by releasing this "virus" to the masses.. Simple question: Did you (asgvis) test this software out before releasing a major upgrade like this?????.. NO YOU DIDNT!! My company has no choice but to switch back to the old version.. and soon if nothing comes of VRAY for SU we are going to have to switch to 3DS max for our vray renders... If you are having problems or are making fixes let us know... The last few months with no info about what was going on with the materials section was almost the last straw.. This is no way to run a business and keep people wanting to buy your product. :-*

          Re: New Release- new bugs

Is replied in the other thread you posted this complain; The service pack is a release candidate, meaning it's not final yet. Companies some times give users the choice of testing the application for them self. As with all alpha, beta and release candidate you must expect issues and you shouldn't use it in a mission critical environment.
Public beta testing is a very nice way for software developers to test their product on a wider scale in in scenarios they might not have thought of them self. Unfortunately, too many seem to expect it to be fully working product and start flaming the product when it doesn't work.
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.
