  • Omni Lights not rendering

I just purchased the program, but my omni lights aren't rendering. I loaded the IRmap_medium in the options, I'm not using a physical camera, and I tried changing the light intensity, and they still don't show up. I don't know if it's a program error, or if I'm doing something wrong.

Also, I tried turning off the GI to see if it would render the lights and the render turned out black.

    Please help.

    Re: Omni Lights not rendering

Omni lights look fine here. I'll bet you a dollar you still have your physical camera turned on. Try this out. Make a scene that just has a box and an omni light. In your render options, under "Environment" uncheck "GI" and "Background". Next go to your "Camera" settings in the render options, and uncheck "On" under the "Physical Camera" section. Now when you render, the box should be lit by the omni light.

If you have any further issues, and require further support, please submit a help ticket here:

      It's still rendering black.

I'll put in a trouble ticket. Thanks for the help anyways.

What intensity have you set the omni lights to? With physical camera on and inverse square decay you may need to set intensity in the millions to see them, so try adding a few zeros to your intensity settings.
