  • Render problem

    Hi,

This is my first topic here. I hope it is in the good forum. (sorry for my englisch but i am from holland).

When I render my image and I have a space that must be white it isn't white but light blue.
Same for the background. I want a white background but that is blue also..

I have uploaded an image to show it.

If the little M is capitallized next to the color, then you have a map (the sky most likely) that is active and the color is not used. Remove the map, and then the color will be active.

        Thank you very much.

I have a little other problem right now. the M is now a m. But the background is black. My building color (white) is now oke. I think...

          Re: Render problem

Thats because you still have the physical camera enabled which changes the exposure values for the scene. In order for your background to show up, you will need to either increase the values of your background or go through the steps of removing the physical camera. Going with the second step will also require removing or decreasing the intensity of the sun. Doing a search on the forum should help you out if you need more info.

But i dont understand it. I have made another building with the same settings. But it was not a white building. That one is good.
And the background of that render was white. And now its light blue like the sky. And if I do what you said. The sky tuns black. I dont have changed another setting..

I cant understand what I am doing wrong :-\

              Re: Render problem

I can't tell what the difference is because I'm not looking at the scenes. You could export the settings that worked from that other file and import them to use them again.

I'll tell you that there are two main divisions with you're going to work in vfsu...
              1. No physical camera and no sun/sky system (you'll need to turn off default lights). When working this way, placing hdrs or emissive materials will be at a "normal" scale. However you won't be able to get any of the SU sun shadows. You can modify the sun/sky system to work, but thats more involved

              2. Use the physical camera and the sun/sky system. If you're working this way, then setting hdrs or emissive materials will require adjusting their intensity so they match the exposure of your camera.

Mixing and matching between the two requires that you know whats going on. Typically getting black skys requires either removing the physical camera or increasing its intensity.
