  • V-ray renders abnormally green or yellow

    Hi,

Our office has just got the V-ray for sketch-up software
and I have just been using it .. at 1st it was a dream to use even with out the V-ray textures it made Sketch-up models look so much better
after a few renders I noticed that they started rendering badly
with renders showing yellow and green speckles.. which makes the render unusable

I havent changed any of the settings appart from the render size

    Thanks in advance

    **edit**
now all renders on the specific model come out with a white grain almost 75% white grain.

heres an example of whats happening

hmm...the image looks incredibly noisy. I'm not sure if the image is supposed to have an over all green affect, but with noise like that the sampling can be fairly rough (therefore potential for more variance in the color. Also what size did you move from and to?

Re: V-ray renders abnormally green or yellow

      hi, thanks for the reply.
The scene hasn't got any materials .. just the standard blank sketchup material.

I will attach an image of the skecthup render to show what it should look like.

      with regards to the size change .. i moved from 640 x 480 to 2048 x 1536

It seems localised to this one model tho.. i dont have a clue whats happend or what i have changed

thanks for your help so far

Thats very odd...are there any other environment settings or anything that might possibly be contributing? Also, could you post the log (the info in the progress window) for the render?

I don't know of any reason why we'd all of the sudden start rendering green.

Re: V-ray renders abnormally green or yellow

          hi again.

ok... this is what i did today .. had a little spare time and so decided to render the same scene again ...
to my knowledge i didnt change any of the settings and the result was a pure white render...

          its only on this model

i can see any difference with any of my other models .. its getting really frustrating.

the only good thing about this is that i am getting critted on this project in just under 30mins so i wont have to try and render it again lol

is there a way of returning all settings to defult?

          thanks agin for your help

Re: V-ray renders abnormally green or yellow

I wonder if 'clamped colors' is accidentally unchecked in the Vray famebuffer screen (= the render screen)...and you're watching the no clamp marker colors....

At second view.....it actually looks really screwed up
