  • 2 point perspective - bug or wish

Hey im not sure if this is a bug, maybe its supposed to happen, but when i apply 2 point persepctive in sketchup (the view automatically jumps to eyelevel view angle) in order to see the whole building i usually have to pan in 2 point perspective mode (up or down) how ever when i render it renders the view that it initially jumped to after applying 2 point perspective...

    bug or wish ???

Bug most likely (please fill out a ticket), but why don't you just use the Vertical Shift function of the physical camera. This will allow you to "bend" the verticals however you want them. Most people use it to get their verticals vertical and when they need a specific camera angle (ie you don't have to force the camera to be level).

    Examples:

Sorry, but at the moment we do not have a Guess Vertical Shift function

well that is sort of a solution, however seeing it sketchup first is handy, if i have a wide field of view, difference from 3d perspective to 2 poind perspective is quite big and again i would know exactly what im rendering... but perhaps i shouldnt talk too much untill ive tried it thank you
