  • Same Texture on multiple objects yields different look

This grass texture with bump was applied to both surfaces, only one of them showed the bump! Before doing some random reapplying materials and adjusting, the flat texture had a different UV value (completely smooth) than the other.

Would this be a bug or is there a logical reasoning behind it?

Geometry with a displacement map that's attached to geometry with another material will prevent the displacement to render. Geometry with displacement has to be 100% isolated.
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.

I'm not sure I'm new to this! Rendered on light cache with sketchup shadow lighting on , just a grass text plus bump_in this case displacement... Thanks I still need to try the solution
