Although I've never seen that error, I think I know what might be going on here. In order to install for SketchUp 7 you have to change the install path from SketchUp 6 to SketchUp 7 manually (its just changing the numbers). So if you only have SketchUp 7 installed and you didn't change the path during the install process, then the path that you're telling the installer to put all the files in doesn't exist. So, just change the path of the install from SketchUp 6 to SketchUp 7 and you should be fine.

Su doesn't leave any trace of where it's installed in the registry or anything? At my office I have a norwegian OS and VfSU has never suggested the correct path as I've got a Norwegian version of "Program Files".
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.

No, there isn't a way to retrieve the install path from SU's registry settings.

I know Vista 64 bit will install SU by default in the ProgramFiles(x32) folder.
What I did was install SU in the ProgramFiles instaed.
Doing this prevented a lot of annoyance cause a lot of 3td party dev software just refuses to install their app in an folder besides the ProgramFiles one.

If you have a Norvegian Windows, try to make a 'ProgramFiles' folder and install SU and all other related apps in there.

            Hope this helps.

            Cheers,

For SU 7, Google finally added a registry key for where its installed. So when the new installer comes out you won't have to worry about the path at all.
