Not happy with any version of VFSU. I have been mention that problem since last few issues. seems no one reply what's going on. The problem is once i import the model (for example. the car witch is setup emissive layer and reflection layer) into new model/files. Then the material is success to import but no emissive and reflection. i have to set up every single cars. anyone know what's going on???????? > > ???

Re: Emissive layers and relection layer is gone once import into new model
Yes, it's a known issue. When importing components, V-Ray materials are not brought along. It'd due to a technical limitation in SU apparently.
I hope they can find a way around it for next version.
In the meanwhile, you have to export your V-Ray materials after you've set them up and import them when you place your components. Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.

Thanks thom thom. At least now someone know that issues and i won't feel alone. i though it's my own problems.
it's a nightmare to re-apply the material once import about 10 cars into one model space. vray material seems to automatic to rename the material what you import. so i have to re select again and replace them again. it's terrible to doing that way. Think about if there are 20 people working in a term...you think the work will be sharing..but its not. you end up have to redo again every single bit.

Yea, not very ideal workflow.
When you import? Do you select the existing material you want to replace? Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.

If you subsequently import any new car components you can apply the already imported VRay materials to them by right-clicking the car geometry and choosing "Select geometry by material", then apply the corresponding VRay material. Then I purge the unused materials to keep things manageable.SU 2018 + VfSU 4.0
