Its possible that within the next interface there will be a "Hi Resolution" button that will automate a number of the changes that should be made when doing hi res.

i know this tread is too old..but i wish i had seen it earlier..
got same problem like this one, after reverting to 1.05.30...
i even doubled the RAM on my system ( :-[) assuming it was a memory related issue (also enabled the 3gb switch)...but it was actually the displacement issue!
