  • What causes these artifacts when rendering?

    Using SketchUp 6 Pro,

I have rendered this scene effectively a number of times (last 3 days this week), now when I try to render it after hiding some lights, I get theses boxes (bucket size) that are slightly lighter in color than they should be. No matter what I do (restart the computer, etc), they keep rendering this way. The scene rendered perfectly many times before.... any suggestions?

both computers' versions of vray are the same (version 01.05.30)

Most of the "odd bucket" issues that I've seen have been due to DR, which you appear to be using. Since the odd bucket artifacts have been focused on those two materials (the bar base and countertop) I would check that those maps are being read properly by the spawners. This may mean copying the maps manually to a specific directory and telling the spawner to look in that directory for a render or two. I may also apply a different material to that geometry, then re apply it back. Let me know if that works or not.
