PNGs don't save to disk when rendering batch/animations.
AFAIK, they're the only format which won't save to disk when you render out animations: I haven't tried them all, but jpg, tga, tiff, hdri and exr all save fine.

I'll take a look. This seams odd though as to why they wouldn't save. Plus, I use pngs as my "everyday" format, so I'm not sure why I wouldn't have spotted that by now. Anyway...

Just other other day I had set vray to auto save a png but it failed for several different renders.
I had no problems saving it manually though.
(I'm using the latest version.)
