  • Issues with my SKY rendering.

    hi,

Having issues with my sky rendering, does anyone have a notion?

I have Physical camera enabled, the environment SKY and BACKGROUND are behaving predictably, but my nice bule gradiant sun wont render in the background... Just whiteness and a tint of blue pixalation around whats left.

here's the link to one of the problematic images. If anyone can help, please do. It's more than likely a small setting ive missed, but it does seem odd!

    cheers

it's because you save as png, which has an aplha channel for post processing. You can either save as another filetype which doesn't allow an alpha channel (jpg) or you can go to the VFB Channels rollout and remove Alpha

Its an over exposure issue. Right now the camera is exposed for the area right in between the buildings it seams, which is blowing out the sky.

i think remon had it, looking at that pic's properties, it is a PNG... and the reflections are blue

I think Dalomar is correct- assuming that that image represents a screenshot then your sky is overexposed. Reflections (if reflected by a material which is less than 100% reflective and using a dark diffuse colour, like arch glass usually is) will reflect the sky darker than it appears in direct view, which would explain why your sky reflects OK, but is blown out in the background. As with 99% of V-Ray render problems, if in doubt, check your multipliers!
