  • Render Artifacts / Incorrectly rendered squares!

    Please see the render below this started happening when i was changing around the reflection amount within the frensel bit - the leather couch renders too dark then the correct bits come out as intermittently dispersed squares...



    you can get hings to render normaly by adjusting things so the material is either way too reflective or not reflective enouh...

    ....any ideas, i'm stuck!

    Did you rendered using DR spawner?

          Yes, that was what i meant. Unfortunately i don't know what may've caused this. I've never seen this, but i hope someone here will be able to help you.

            OK, results as strange as this sometimes require asking silly questions, so prepare yourself

            Is that definitely a completed render, or did you interrupt/cancel it to post a screenshot?

              that is a completed render - hence the time on the bottom...

                Render time doesn't necessarily indicate completion- it displays even if you interrupt/cancel a render.

                Does this file appear like that every time you render? If so, is it always the same regions and number of regions which render incorrectly?

                  No, the number and position change each time + i can change the material settings in the relection bit and thay change more dramaticaly. I have reinserted the model into another skp and created the vismat 4 the leather rom the start and things seem to be ok now...

                    The only time that I saw that kind if issue is if you have the DR and if you have some missing textures. Thst is very odd just with one machine.
