batch render wont save :(

it has happened a few times where ill leave the for the night with batch rendering and come back the next morning to find the renders complete but no image in the designated folder. it makes me sad. i dont know why this would be. im saving as png on my desktop and it still does it some times (though i noticed that it had made my file extension to ".png)"...)

any one else had similar problems?

It's a known bug- for some reason png files won't save to file when doing batch renders. Just save as tga instead.
