Sketchup crashes while importing materials with V-ray. (vista)

has anyone run into this problem before?

i am trying to import vismat files into my sketchup file through the V-ray plugin. every time i try to import, sketchup immediately crashes.

sketchup crashes importing vismat on OSX

I seem to be having a similar or same problem on OSX. When I import a new vismat material, first of all, it doesn't even show the material preview correctly in the sketchup materials preview and then when trying to debug, it just crashes.... help?

Which materials are you trying to import when this crash occurs?

The original set of .vismat materials as made available by ASGVIS.

I seem to be getting a black preview in the SketchUp materials editor and they the bucket will drop black onto the surfaces on which I wish to apply.

Same problem with XP Pro (VRayForSketchUp-1.48.66)

Yup same here. Started a new model all i did was try to import asgvis .vismat materials and it gave me a runtime error.

I should say i tried over 20 materials.

I clicked on preview. nothing came up then it crashed.

I have been having a lot of problems lately.

For me too, it crash on VRayForSketchUp-1.48.66 (OS 10.6.2)

Everyone that posted in this thread, what do you all have in common? If we can figure out what is similar between your computers/scenes, we can start to figure out what is wrong here. Are you all using Mac OS X? Windows? If so, what version? What language is the OS in? Have you all tried using the same material, and it didn't work? Which one?

I'm having the same problem when I import materials.
I am on Mac OS X 10.6.2 - English version

I am using the demo version of the software - thought I'd try it out first.

Everyone that posted in this thread, what do you all have in common? If we can figure out what is similar between your computers/scenes, we can start to figure out what is wrong here. Mac OSX 10.5.8 (English)
Vray demo version 1.48.66
SketchUp 7.1.6859
Materials tried: Green Fiber.vismat, Gypsum.vismat, Porcelain_White.vismat from the free vistmat material collection

So far I'm only seeing Mac posts, except for the original poster that said their OS was vista (or at least that's what the title of this thread says). We have been able to reproduce this issue in OS X 10.6. It appears to be related to upgrading old materials that have a certain texture type being used. We are still trying to narrow down the issue further. Thank you everyone for your help! If any windows users experience this issue, I would like to know about that. We have been unable to reproduce the issue on Win7 or XP so far. We haven't had a chance to test in Vista yet.
