  • SketchUp crashes on material import + Wacom tablet issues

    Hi

When importing some materials, my Sketchup app crashes. (OSX)
I was just wondering if anyone else have had experienced this problem.
It does not seem all materials.

    Notice, I am a V-ray noob

Never the less, I have been looking forward to this update because I was, in order to reduce render times, preparing my self to switch from Maxwell Render to V-ray.
    I guess I´ll wait :-\

I am also unable to use my wacom tablet. It act funny in V-ray dialogs.

    Regards Dukkehus

Which materials are causing issues for you? Did you download them from our site? We would like to try to reproduce the issue you mentioned, but we need to know which materials we should test with.

Also, what is happening when you try to use your wacom tablet? Could you possibly post a video demonstrating the issue? Just use a screen capture program such as Jing to record the video, and then post a link to it after uploading somewhere.

        Danish! ;D

        Materials:

Being a new V-ray user I´ve only used materials from your site.
I have succeeded loading some Red_rubber_flat material a few times, but not every time.
Metal (aluminium_blurry.vismat) causes it to crash.

        Wacom:

Hard to record, I just cant click the buttons and move the dialogs.
I haven´t really tried to fix it my self, it could be a driver thing.

          Material-
I'll try downloading that material and see if it causes an issue here at the office.

          Wacom -
It may be due to a strange Mac issue. For some reason, there is an option in your Universal Access preferenes (Apple->System Preferences->Universal Access) called "enable access for assistive devices". If you uncheck that, it sometimes will clear up issues with input devices.

Ye I saw that in another thread, but thats not it.
I think it might be bacause I have custom wacom settings for sketchup.

            Sometimes its just wierd.

Re: SketchUp crashes on material import + Wacom tablet issues

Just tried downloading aluminum_blurry.vismat from our site, and loading it in to SU. I had no problems at all. Could you try to load that material again, and after SketchUp crashes, could you copy and paste the contents of your vfs error log here?

Here's where to find the log file:
