Black material previews

I'm not having the issue where others are having a crash when importing materials. But I am still having the issue where the materials will sometimes not preview, and generally just show up jet black in the model on what ever I apply them to. I'm using windows7 64bit version. Not sure if this is the same as you are asking about since I haven't had a crash just from trying to import them. Seems all Vray materials i've tried have my issue though.

I split your response off in to a separate thread, because as you said, you're not having the same issue the others are having. Please don't hijack other threads, when you're aware that your issue is unrelated. It's very easy for forums to get confusing that way, I'm sure you understand

As far as your issue goes, you said that "materials will sometimes not preview, and generally just show up jet black in the model on what ever I apply them to". Then later you said "Seems all Vray materials I've tried have my issue though". So are you telling us that all materials are showing up black, or only some? And are you talking about material previews... or are you talking about in the viewport? This is all very confusing. It may be easier to show us with a video. I recommend getting a piece of software called Jing. It will allow you to record what you are doing on the screen while the issue is happening, and then share the video on this forum. It's not necessary, but as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.
